The twenty sets of coordinates, listed in the May 1, 2000 announcement, map out locations near: 1) Long Beach, CA, 2) Cape Town, South Africa, 3) San Francisco, CA, and 4) Dallas, TX (Southern Methodist University - SMU).
The map below displays five stars showing the location of five sets of coordinates starting at San Pedro, and surrounding the Long Beach area. The star pattern reminds me of the horns of the constellation: Taurus.
If you look at all the other maps for Cape Town, San Francisco, and Dallas (SMU), their coordinates are mapped in a counter-clockwise pattern. Since the mapped coordinates for Long Beach are the only ones in a clockwise pattern, logic dictates that Long Beach would be a good candidate for the meeting place, especially if there is only one meeting location.
Further evidence for the Long Beach area being the meeting place could be linked to the announcement's mentioning of "Angels Gate," which is in San Pedro (Angels Gate Lighthouse and/or Angels Gate Cultural Center), and can also refer to the mouth of the Los Angeles River that opens up into San Pedro Bay (Pacific Ocean).
Also, if you notice the triangle in the center of the announcement, it is an isosceles triangle made up of a (3, 4) golden mean triangle, and a (2, 4) right triangle. The isosceles triangle was manipulated from a (2, 1) triangle, which is the same as a triangle made by the move of the knight on the chessboard. "Isos" in Greek means "equal." Therefore, an isosceles triangle has two equal sides.
Looking at the map, we can find an isosceles triangle by connecting the coordinate locations for #1, #3, and #5. By the way, 135 octal is equal to 333 pental. Coordinates #1 and #5 make up the base of the triangle, while #3 is the height. Divide the isosceles triangle into two halves by drawing a perpendicular line from the base to coordinate #3. There now exists two golden mean triangles. See the following map on the left.
With triangulation, we can derive at an exact point in the center of the Triangle as shown above in the map on the right. This location is near Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and the Veteran's Memorial Park. Nearly the same location can be found by doing the following where "#" is the coordinate number that is listed at the top of this page just below the first map:

This RV park has exactly 77 lots for the RVs.

The map below displays five stars showing the location of five sets of coordinates near Cape Town, South Africa. The coordinates begin a path in the Atlantic Ocean near the coast of South Africa, then the path moves inland and northward, ending near Calvinia. These coordinates are listed in the top-left box of the announcement entitled "Calvin," and the rectangular box is surrounded by 120 number ones.
You will notice that the number 120 is used a lot throughout the Mayday announcements. It is quite possible that the 120 polyhedron is a major key to understanding the Mayday announcements, at least from a mathematical viewpoint. The map below displays five stars showing the location of five sets of coordinates near San Francisco. The 5th coordinate points to a location on Greenwich St. The street name is probably a direct connection to the "time" theme of this announcement. Remember Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), or Universal Time Coordinate (UTC)? Just as the word "time" has two different meanings in Greek (chronos and kairos), Angel's Gate, numbers, and GMT have different meanings as is the case with most items in the Mayday announcements.
GMT could also mean Golden Mean Triangle. Don't forget about Douglas R. Hofstadter's book: Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid, where he talks about "contracrostipunctus". You should definitely read Chapter IV in this book to understand the term and how it relates to the Mayday announcements. Anyway, contracrostipunctus is a study of different levels of meaning such as implicit and explicit. Just as there are various levels of meaning in the Mayday announcements, there are various levels of meaning threaded throughout Hofstadter's book. GEB means Gödel, Escher, Bach, but the same three letters (though rearranged as EGB) can also mean Eternal Golden Braid. Check out the cover of his book.
The golden mean triangle, golden ratio, or golden section is also known as the divine proportion. Read The Divine Proportion - A Study in Mathematical Beauty by H.E. Huntley and The Golden Ratio - The Story of Phi, The World's Most Astonishing Number by Mario Livio.
The five stars in the map have a similar pattern to the stars of the top left portion of the Ceti (Cetus) constellation. This constellation is known as the great beast from the sea. It was a very large toothy serpentine fish. It would devour people when it was washed (or came) to land. Perhaps Cetus (or beast from the sea) correlates with the Apocalupsis (Revelation) 17:5 mentioning of the beast and the woman that road the beast. Rev. 17:5: "And upon her forehead (was) a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." - KJV
Under the rectangular box entitled "Cromwell" in the lower left portion of the announcement that is surrounded by 120 number nines, there are many references to the beast: Babilon, Rev. 17:5, 2 Kings 6:16 (where 616 is another gematria reference such as 666 for the mark of the beast, which if you add up all the numbers that surrounds the entire announcement, you get 3146, and 3146 octal equals 666 hex), and the Vatican (Roman Catholic Church). Search the Internet and read about the 1559 martyrdom of Jelis De Groot. Don't forget to read all of Revelation chapters 17 and 18 (and even chapter 13) to find out more about the beast.
The map below displays five stars showing the location of five sets of coordinates. The coordinates create a pattern that resemble a mirrored Southern Cross (Crux) constellation. The five stars are mapped over the Southern Methodist University campus, near Dallas, TX. Hmmm, Southern Cross - Southern Methodist University!?!
Perhaps it is possible that all the paths combined together for Long Beach, SF, Cape Town, and SMU make up one constellation, or taken separately to represent several different constellations. Search www.dibonsmith.com for patterns of stars found in the 88 constellations.
Instead of looking at the paths in a macrocosmic way such as constellations, perhaps they could be combined to make a microcosmic pattern resembling structural formulas of organic compounds that can be found in the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (CRC) 85th edition.
Most likely, the coordinates are just alternate locations for the annual celebration of the Confessio Augustana.
